I use a headset, but do a search for "Skype phone" and you'll see wireless
phones that let you walk around the house. Best Buy has them too, if you
want to talk with a sales person. I don't know if your computer has to be on
or not.

I'll check into it. Vonage deducts automatically - started out at something
like 19.99/mo and now has increased to 39.99/mo for the same service.
