It was a bit rowdy at times but I suspect the BBC were after ratings rather
than serious debate in having these two characters on the same bill. But the
fault-lines of society were opened for all to see and no one had any new
answers. Brands call for a revolution seems to have dulled somewhat, he's more
of a left wing re-distributionist now.

It's always interesting to see people's reactions to two such different
figures, people see Farage as more of a man of the people than Brand who was a
homeless junkie for years, whereas Farage was a City stockbroker and Tory party
member from the age of 15! It says a lot about us as a nation that the empathy
doesn't lie with the downtrodden, or maybe it's Brand's massively high opinion
of himself that goes against him here. And the fact that he's loaded, but that
isn't a problem for me, you can still care even if you've got money.

Some guy in the audience had a serious shout at Brand and told him to stand
for parliament if he thought he had a solution to society's ills. I don't think
he'd grasped the main point of anarchy.
