Dear everyone I'm sorry I haven't been in touch till now--it's taken me much longer than usual to get back in the groove what with everything that happened before I left and then having to leave my parents last weekend who although they're getting along more or less fine could do with some extra help--I am more and more torn about whether I should remain here or go back to UK. I got back home a day late (because of flight cancellation) and then to top it all I came back to a computer that until now would only receive, not send, email. Aaargh. Just wanted to thank everyone who wrote such lovely caring messages after Flavia and Snowball -- I will be replying individually over the next day or two. I also need to catch up with the list generally-- meanwhile please know my heart is with those who have suffered losses, and my prayers are with those kitties who are ill. I thought it would be hard collecting the ashes today but managed to maintain my composure (the vet staff probably dread my arrival these days). Thanks for all your concern. It's good to be back.
