i add a bookmark to the PDF documents i prepare (title pages + score) -- [compiled 27 july 2016] -- and edit out the bookmark function (so nothing happens when you click on it), and set up the file to always show the bookmarks panel. this is in addition to the indication which edition the score is [edition: may 2016] on the copyright page i include in the title pages.
