You might try adding an unofficial binary distribution to your
/sw/etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://fink.sodan.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp/apt/10.5 unstable main crypto

Then run "sudo apt-get update". 

Fink's primary purpose is to allow building packages from source: 
precompiled binaries are an extra feature, and we don't have a good
official mechanism in place as of yet to update the point releases on
anything approaching a regular basis.
