Adding "--enable-package-state-loc=%p/var/lib/aptitude" to aptitude's ConfigureParams should fix this. Of course, any stuff in /var/lib/ aptitude would have to be manually moved to /sw/var/lib/aptitude after this or else you'll have to start over since that's where aptitude keeps package state information.
