Benjamin,
   Due to the fact that gcj is broken for java compilation (but not classes) on 
10.5,
the libidn package build fails if gcc45 is installed. Your packaging doesn't
appear to be trying use gcj but that gets tested against (which hangs) if
gcc45 is installed. Since that is now only a small symlink package, you can
fix this by just adding a BuildConflicts on gcc45. Note that packages really
shouldn't even be using the gcc4x packages in BuildDepends as they can now
use the non-conflicting gcc4x-compiler package and set FC=gfortran-fsf-4.x
etc.
