What version of qt3 and qt3-shlibs do you have installed?
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
This would be interesting to see. The file is something like
/sw/src/src/scribus-1.2-1/scribus-1.2/config.log
In it, you will see a line similar to
configure:20813: checking for Qt
Could you please show what comes after this line until the last sction
of the file that is just a list of variables starting with something like
ac_cv_build=powerpc-apple-darwin6.8
