Open up /Applications/Utilities/Console

Open up "Console Preferences"

Select the "Crashes" tab

Check both boxes:
[x] Log crash information in ~/Library/Logs/
  [x] Automatically display crash logs

et Voilá! You can now access the details of the crash - either by
copy/past from the console window, or by opening up the appropriate file
in ~/Library/Logs.
