"Since the 1980s, the IPB has promoted the worldwide campaign for nuclear disarmament, aiming at the abolition of all nuclear weapons."
So, can someone identify the nuclear weapon held in the hands of the person in the lead photo of this brochure linked below?? Query the above disingenous phrase "conflict zones" to somehow take it out of the discussion of relevance for other than the direct citizen: "In addition, we support all efforts to limit or eliminate weapons that impact negatively on communities in conflict zones (small arms, landmines…). " http://ipb.org/uploads/documents/other_docs/Flyer_IPB_World_Social_Forum.pdf "a comprehensive approach to reducing deaths caused by SALW will require states to focus on armed violence rather than only conflict violence." from http://www.reachingcriticalwill.org/images/documents/Disarmament-fora/1com/1com16/briefingbook/FCBB-2016-salw.pdf and Relevant UNPoA Commitments II. 21. To develop and implement, where possible, effective disarmament, demobilization and reintegration programmes, including the effective collection, control, storage and destruction of small arms and light weapons, particularly in post-conflict situations. http://www.reachingcriticalwill.org/images/documents/Publications/preventing-gbv.pdf p 50
