You have right :)
I always change all statements as exists statement becouse it is more readable
but i ommit existence of this very old feature :)

Firebird already has ALL, ANY and SOME, from the Interbase 6.0 langref
manual (with a fix for a typo):
<val> [NOT] {= | < | >} {ALL | SOME | ANY} (<select_list>)
