Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD and KA9Q all have filtering code included with the base OS or as an add-on package or both. The code may have usage or redistribution restrictions or obligations, so if you're going to use it as a basis for something, have someone competent in Intellectual Property law check out your usage.
