Regarding the off-topic discussion on Server Gated Crypto (SGC). The reason why SGC certificates are still desirable is because many Internet users are afraid to download and upgrade their browsers to newer ones or operate on corporate systems where the corporate standard configuration is often years behind. I still encounter many organizations that still rely on Windows NT 4.0 servers and Windows 95 desktops with IE 5.0 (with the weaker key strength)!
To provide the strongest SSL protection for the financial and privacy information of such users, it is worth the extra money to buy and install SGC certificates on a server meant to provide eCommerce to a large public audience where the configuration of the visitor's system can be almost anything. Regards; Marc Mandel PS: Thanks to all those who have responded either to the firewalls listing or directly to me. You have all expanded upon my knowledge of SGC. _______________________________________________ Firewalls mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] For Account Management (unsubscribe, get/change password, etc) Please go to: http://lists.gnac.net/mailman/listinfo/firewalls
