As to expanding globs, that is very much on purpose. In fish, the tab completions will not change what you've written, it will show you possible _completions_ of what you've written. Personally, I find the zsh behaviour unintuitive and rarely as useful. It's much more common for me to wish to complete a filename containing a wildcard than it is to wish to edit the list of matches. > > One more thing. I am not a big fan of implementing a millions customization options, so the number of options are unlikely to explode, though I will consider well motivated suggestions, especially if they are provided together with a patch. A right-side prompt is on the todo-list, but not at the top.
