WOW Brian. Am SO glad that everyone is OK and hope that the horses recover fully as well as your nerves! That seems to be the problem with today's society that they drive too fast for the road conditions and are not willing to get involved. The truck driver SHOULD have stayed to make sure you were all OK but then he might have known that he was the cause and left to avoid owning up to his part. Stay safe, my friend.....and Drive On.
