Thanks. I got it to work in IE, but it does not seem to
work in firefox.
Is there a way to get this to work in
firefox?
I found this website that says it does not http://www.webwasp.co.uk/tutorials/b35-Tab/index.php,
but wanted to see if
they are wrong.

the HTML that hosts the Flex SWF. Since the Flex SWF is an instance of the
Flash Player ActiveX control, and the browser has focus, not the ActiveX
control, you need to have _javascript_ set focus to it.

Subject: RE: [flexcoders] Re: setFocus is evil What onLoad tag are you talking about? There is no onLoad
event in flex? And what are you referring to
with 'theFlashControl'? Can you give more detail please,
since I am pretty new to flex, and I do not really know flash
yet.
Thanks, Dan

There was an issue with the Broswer/FLash Player getting focus itself. So basically your code running in the flash player is set correct but the Flash Player it self does not have focus, until you click some where on the flash swf in the page. I dont remember finding a way around it but I might be wrong.
