Don,

FlexProfiler simply records the configuration of MOST of the PowerSDR user
controls and stores them in a named file. You can recall the profile from
the PowerSDR console (a menu selection becomes available when FlexProfiler
is installed). I have made no updates to the program in months so there are
a few recently-added FLEX-5000 controls that are not recorded.

If you are interested, you can download it from the repository at:

svn://206.216.146.154/svn/repos_sdr_windows/FlexProfiler/trunk/bin/Release

using the same method you use for PowerSDR. Documentation is in the
/Documentation folder in PDF and Word formats.

I do not plan to make any changes/improvements to the current version of
FlexProfiler. It will become obsolete when the new architecture is released
next year. The same functions will be native to the new architecture and
will be much easier to use.

Bob K5KDN

Subject: [Flexradio] Upgrade ran Fine

I ran the upgrade last night without any issues making sure I rebooted the
pc and powered down the radio by removing power. Everything came up as it
should and the RX2 calibration ran without issue.

Someone mentioned a program called flexradio profiler. How well does this
work? I know there was an individual who created a program that would
migrate data from one db to another db though you would have to be careful
when going to a new release. I have a bunch of filters set which i would
not want to recreate each time so I just copy the rx1 filters from the old
db to the new db in Access but there are other items I would also like to
maintain.
