Perhaps one of the RF final transistors are croaked? Remember an SDR radio still has hardware inside. I was just looking at the schematic, and Flex uses two Mitsubishi RD70 FET's in the output stage. I think this is the device: http://www.rfparts.com/rd70hhf1.html
