I observe that the memory usage of FG increases steadily at the rate of 144 megabytes per minute for at least the first 7 minutes.
That seems rather far outside the acceptable range. As you might expect, this is associated with dramatic degradation of the frame rate and other ugliness. This appears to be 100% reproducible sitting on the runway at KJFK. (At other airports, the memory usage goes rather quickly up to 460 or thereabouts and then remains steady.)
