Hello all,
I'm novice with FlightGear. And Sorry for my English.
I'm used to play with IL2 Sturmovik (http://www.il2sturmovik.com/).
IL2 is not only a game, but also a good WWII simulator.
And since this 19 May with the New AEP Patch 2.01 we can now extract
data from fligth parameters like altitude, heading, speed etc.
The extraction of theses data is done By an UDP link protocol (Device
Link)
The goal from the developper team (Maddox) was to provide data usefull
for poeple to build a Physical Cockpit for this Simulator.

But Physical Gauges cost some bucks. So I'm looking to build a Virtual
Cockpit Like the 2D FlightGear Cockpit. The Idea is to make somethink
like this : http://www.projectmagenta.com/products/i/c.jpg
But with Historical Gauges.

So I've look on the web and found the Magenta Project but this one is a
Commercial project but I want to make something completly free.
One other solution is http://www.opengc.org/ but I think it's not
exactly what I want.

I'm actually looking in the FlightGear source code to be able to use
only the 2D cockpit Pannel, with the XML configuration possibilities.
(and cptf from the IRC chat show me this:
http://home.tiscali.be/mstilmant/divers/il2/IL2Panel/fgfs8.jpeg, and so
it's really a good start :-D just need to redisign gauge for an
historical aspect and remove modern ones.)

Wath cptf has proposed to me is to make a FDM nearly empty with just
access to IL2 via UDP.
I'll need also to remove 3D environments and in fact almost everythings
except wath is needed to let 2D pannel run.
But perhaps there are other solutions, So if you have any idea, or tips
for me, you are welcome.

Thanks All.
