If I may suggest an alternative interpretation. Some time ago, probably
well before the v0.9.9 release, we all made it through some discussions
about what are the appropriate venues to share our beliefs and I think
we came to a some sort of consensus although perhaps hesitantly. And we
have all been able to move forward together.
From personal emails to Arthur, he is just really busy, (like most of
the rest of us.) And he decided that he needed some time off from the
project (hopefully unlike most of the rest of us.) :-) I don't think it
is fair or helpful to imply that there are personal feelings involved
especially tracing back to this far distant event.
Arthur emailed me that he would try to get a v0.9.10 build out the door,
but I don't have any current status or ETA. I think the lesson here is
that we really could use a more active and larger Mac developer
contribution to the FlightGear project. I'm not sure why there hasn't
been very many Mac developers latching on to our project? Maybe there
just aren't that many mac developers out there relative to other
platforms? We need to try to keep (and encourage) the Mac people we
have, because replacements are extremely difficult to come by. :-)
