Hi Stuart,
I was still seeing them periodically (I was running the latest OSG version
of FlightGear.)
I was connected to mpserver02.flightgear.org. What I noticed the most was
that mpdummy: would repeat things that others said earlier.
Often it's just a mpdummy: hello that gets echo'd across the screen, but the
one that really stood out was someone posted a longer message about needing
to go and feed their kids and that got echoed back by mpserver at least once
or twice in the following minute.
So it's not like before where the repeated message was scrolling rapidly
down your screen being repeated at high rate. Now it looks more like some
wires are getting crossed somewhere, possibly as people enter and leave the
system. I wonder if it's some how related to the fact that the index of the
property subtree changes as players jump on and off the system, and maybe
there's some sort of timing issue there with a window of oportunity for the
system to get confused when the player list changes around? I'm just
speculating ...
I have no idea what server mpdummy was connected to, but I assume that's
always the same. Hope that helps ...
