..you mean scaled down, right from the jpg-factory? Never tried that,
I rejected that idea on the belief it would add to the work load, so
I simply run fgfs --geometry=1920x1200 --httpd=5555 --jpg-httpd=5556 &
and then fetch the pix and only then encode the movie off the jpg's.
..most of the encoders can do scaling but I've never tried that,
I like my stuff full size, and I used FG's jpg-server to confirm
it makes ok jpg's despite the openchrome OpenGL smear bug. Debug
box has GA-6BA main board with Via KM400 integrated graphics card
and nVidia FX5600 card ready for the agp slot, dumpster finds. ;o)

..erm, _after_ I get my 2 box scheme working again.
Note to self: Next time keep pix 'n make movie to
prove it works.
..Debian ATI card users with e.g. 9800PRO on r300 or "radeon"
or "ati" drivers, _may_ need "Option "GARTSize" "32" in their
/etc/X11/xorg.conf's "Device" section like so,...
"Section "Device"
...
Option "GARTSize" "64"
#"32"
...
EndSection "
...to avoid running running out of GART memory space crashing
OpenGL apps like glxgears and FG. This bug is fixed upstream,
and should trickle down thru Debian mirrors anytime now.

best case, worst case, and just in case.
