I have installed FlightGear v1.9.1 on a Fedora 10, 64-bit system, and I ran
into a couple of problems when I started the sim with stock C-172.
1. How do you change the nav/comm frequency without going through the
Equipment -> Radio Settings menus? In other words: I tried to change the
frequency by clicking the mouse on the nav/comm stand by (STBY) switches,
and the only thing I can change is the frequency sub-division, or fractional
MHz (1xx.00 - 1xx.975). I cannot change the MHz selector (i.e., 108.xx -
117.xx).
2. How do you turn off the carburetor heat? I click on the carburetor heat
swtich, and I cannot turn it off.
In FG v1.0.1 these commands worked just fine. Is there something I am
missing? I tried to find an answer to my questions in the FG forums, the
documentation, and Wikipedia.
