Hi All, It looks like this is becoming a bit of an annual tradition: With each new major release, we are evaluating which aircraft we wish to highlight by including them in the base package. Due to time constrains, we have fallen a bit behind with the release process this year. Nevertheless, the process is still in motion, and we expect a release real soon (I've mentioned a target date to the people directly involved, but just to keep the tension on, I'm not yet going to announce that publically yet :-) )
Just as a reminder: Last year's FlightGear 1.9.1 came out with the following selection of aircraft: Airliner : Boeing 777-200 World War II Fighter : A6M2 "Zero" Small TurboProp : b1900d Helicopter : bo105 Small Prop : Cessna 172p Small Business Jet : Cessna Citation X Ultralight : Moyes Dragonfly Aerotowing Capable / Seaplane : DeHavilland Dhc2 Omnipowerful Jet Fighter : F-14b Light Prop : Piper j3cub Light Twin Prop : SenecaII Historic Warbird : Sopwidth Camel Not of this Earth : UFO Airship : Zeppelin-NT Generally, I think that this is a pretty cool selection, but a lot of aircraft development has been going on last year, so there are probably a few of the existing aircraft that we might want to swap. In particular the "airliner" has seen a lot of development, and I know that Syd Adam's wasn't too thrilled about having the Boeing 777-200 in the base package last year. Please note that we want to keep the selection down to approximately the same number as we have now (which is 14), and have each of the current categories represented. So, basically if one new aircraft enters the base package, an existing one should go. Let the votes begin. :-) Cheers, Durk ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Throughout its 18-year history, RSA Conference consistently attracts the world's best and brightest in the field, creating opportunities for Conference attendees to learn about information security's most important issues through interactions with peers, luminaries and emerging and established companies. http://p.sf.net/sfu/rsaconf-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Flightgear-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/flightgear-devel
