create a one-exhibit, one-day-only miniature museum in your house. Invite 
the neighborhood with free admission and refreshments. For an exhibit, make 
a display of the things that were stolen by putting several numbers next to 
blank spaces with notes marked, "item missing". Put the sandals in an 
inconspicuous place in the display.
