On This Day in 1809 the first Bored Goat rally was held at Crippe's Palace, near London. In 1940 the Clumsee Broadcasting System gave a demonstration of Smellivision using scratch -cards and specially impregnated rubber gloves. In 1985 the wreck of the Gargantic was photographed using a pin-hole camera tied to a long piece of string trailed from a one-man kite tethered to Beachy Head lighthouse.
