I can understand. I think the Geezinslaw Brothers explain it best What you call country today we used to call bad Rock and Roll. To me the if I want Country I listen to Alternative Country or X country In my Yahoo e-groups they refer to Folk/ Rock /Alternative Country and Appalachian/Bluegrass as simply OKOM... Our Kind O Music....LOL I hate to try to classify any forms of music. But I think if you combine Country/Rap.......It should be called Crap.....LOL Just kidding... -- Gary Greene says Did you know Billy Joe Shaver wrote; http://www.texicanmusic.com/covers.htm
-------------- Original message -------------- From: "John & Donna Mollan" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I have always wondered about certain music and how it should be categorized. There is much that seems to cross over the boundaries between these genres, especially folk and country. Generally speaking, the word "honky-tonk" defines a song as country while an overdrice guitar definitely denotes rock. Any ideas?
