Hello Simon,

Thank you for the suggestion, unfortunately, this does not fix  the problem.

But, I've got more. If we do the test with only one block container from the FO
file:

*+When optimize-resources for pcl is true:+*

It is almost well displayed in Red Titan, but in in PCL Paraphernalia (print
analysis tool), symbols are represented again as before, but  we have an error:

!image-2023-11-02-19-36-16-242.png|width=271,height=70!

and

!image-2023-11-02-19-37-25-203.png|width=503,height=126!

and

!image-2023-11-02-19-38-00-072.png|width=494,height=78!

*+When we do not have optimize-resources for pcl:+*

It is almost well displayed in Red Titan.

In in PCL Paraphernalia (print analysis tool), symbols are represented again as
before and again error for invalid sequence and warning for checksum, but no
<nul> at the end of file.

In both cases there is no change in the printed text- it is as in Paraphernalia
(
|00008932|Data| |"#$ %$&'( ) *# +,'-. '/0.$ &*(&*.1 &*(&*. .*2+ '/0.$|
|00008966| | |2|

)

Thank you for helping again

Wish you a nice day

Kind regards,

Mariya

> Hello,
>
> Can you, please, help with embedded fonts in PCL.
>
> Produced with Apache fop 2.9 (embedded in app) a PCL file with embedded fonts.
> When printed on my HP Laser jet P2055dn, all symbols are represented with
> numbers and punctuation.
> In Red Titan it is almost well represented - it has most of the symbols:
> !image-2023-11-01-18-59-28-380.png|width=667,height=226!
>
> And Fonts are in the document:
> !image-2023-11-01-19-01-44-174.png|width=655,height=141!
>
> However, in PCL Paraphernalia (print analysis tool), symbols are represented
> as
> |000090af|Data| |3#4+ 5#4+ $.6.$-&#{*}+ 2. 5#4+ $',,$#-7.$ +'+{*} 2|
> !image-2023-11-01-19-07-21-317.png|width=646,height=249!
>
> This is also the way symbols look like , when pcl file is printed on my PCL5
> printer (HP Laser jet P2055dn).
> I configured Apache Fop with fop.xconf with:
>          <renderer mime="application/x-pcl">
>              <rendering>quality</rendering>
>              <text-rendering>auto</text-rendering>
>
> Attached are the fo file and pcl file and a picture of one of the pages
> printed from the printer.
>
> Thank you in advance
> Wish you a nice day.
> Kind regards,
> Maria
