In JS the || operators evaluates to the first value of its left/right sides
which itself evaluates to true in a "boolean context". i.e.:
2 || 3
in almost every other language that evaluates to true, whereas in JS it
evaluates to 2. Likewise (0 || 7) evaluates to 7.
