While investigating a difficult-to-reproduce problem with rebuilds (to
be discussed in a separate email if I ever come up with a procedure), I
managed to get another problem.
My timeline now has a stray up arrow coming off the check-in that comes
"after" the one for which I amended the time. In the full timeline, the
arrow goes upward toward infinity. It does not show in the
context/family timelines, only the full timeline.
I say "after" in quotes because the one I amended used to have a date
before its successor but now has a date slightly after its successor,
that successor being the one with the stray up arrow. In the end, I
have two check-ins in a row that have dates preceding their
predecessors. (My dates are squirrelly on purpose; that's not the point.)
I'd like to post the repository but am asking permission first in a
separate email because it's a binary file. Tiny though it may be,
attachments often don't go well with mailing lists, particularly not
binary attachments. Naturally, I can send it to anyone who requests it,
if anyone's curious and can't wait for me to get the official nod.
