Ha! I can see there are strong opposing opinions for mail vs forum. I find forums more neatly packaged. Mailing lists are not easily browsed or searched for relevant terms. Some run on mail topics are a pain to find the nugget of information desired. Forum responses can have votes or kudos assigned which hasten searches. Still, you will suffer spammers in the forum as bots have figured the user request pages. With Fossil's unversioned content, the forum or mail bloat can be minimized.
