Yes,  it  was  working  in  the previous  version.  Apparently  I  broke
something since then, it's not behaving:

$ fossil clone -l guest ssh://amb@remote//tmp/new.fossil clone.fossil
password for amb: 

Bad!

I'll take a look at it.
