Nope - the db is basically just a transient cache for the manifest
(checkin) data and blobs (file content). The checkin data _is_ also in the
db, but not in a form which the db can directly work with. (It's intended
to be independent of the storage layer.) Any change to that data (e.g.
adding a parent checkin post facto) invalidates it.
