That's actually a good idea. The problem with --comment as currently implemented is that it allows you to replace the current comment easily, but not edit it. --comment would be great for automated processes, but no so much for an interactive edit. I'll see how trivial it is to add a --edit-comment option which will instead spawn $EDITOR.
