Team,

I am running 1.1.0~rc5 release candidate, which I've rebuilt on my
Ubuntu 9.04 box using unmodified rc5 debian source package.

I am having problems with Filter_License terminating prematurely.
Eventually, all activity dies down and analysis remains stuck, even
though scheduler is alive, as evidenced by recent "update time" in
Admin->Scheduler->Status.

The fossology log contains number of messages about filter_license agent
terminating prematurely:

2009-07-25 01:51:21 scheduler[23092] : Child[3] 'agent=filter_license
host=localhost ' state=READY(5) @ Sat Jul 25 01:51:21 2009
2009-07-25 01:51:22 scheduler[23092] : ERROR: Child[3] died prematurely
(was state RUNNING, signal was 6)

Eventually, looks like scheduler gives up spawning new filter_license
agents:

2009-07-25 01:51:52 scheduler[23092] : Child[3] 'agent=filter_license
host=localhost ' state=FREE(1) @ Sat Jul 25 01:51:52 2009
2009-07-25 01:52:02 scheduler[23092] : *** Child[3] spawning too fast (6
in 60 seconds)
2009-07-25 01:52:02 scheduler[23092] : Child[3] 'agent=filter_license
host=localhost ' state=FAIL(0) @ Sat Jul 25 01:52:02 2009
2009-07-25 01:52:02 scheduler[23092] :   Attr:    'agent=filter_license
host=localhost '
2009-07-25 01:52:02 scheduler[23092] :   Command:
'/usr/lib/fossology/agents/Filter_License'
2009-07-25 01:52:02 scheduler[23092] :   Parm:    'akey="107406"
a="3958FBE91AD122D8757A070818C74F3D2C11E5B3.094AFE97EE028B930104F9E4D3FA
05A2.135994" size="135994"
'

Re-starting the scheduler causes the analysis to restart, but after a
few hours (say 5~6 hours) it's all stuck back again.

I've also captured the standard output and standard error from agents,
and I see messages like this (I've left out long memory map at the end
of the message):

*** stack smashing detected ***:
/usr/lib/fossology/agents/Filter_License terminated
======= Backtrace: =========

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
