And I still say that on multiple occasions I was the target of a scam. Each time it happened I was able to get back the money that I was overcharged (many hundreds of dollars). But it clearly didn't stop the modus operandi. And the workmanship that I received (over a total of four different plumbers) ended up being unacceptable for three out of the four jobs. In fact one of the incidents turned out similar to the 3 Stooges episode where Curley (the plumber) enclosed himself in a cage of pipes. ;-)
