Hi everyone,
This year on September the 17th we're going to be celebrating Software
Freedom Day across Australia. Our theme for the year is reFLOSSify
online communities, schools and workplaces. It's a broad topic and we'd
love to have talks about how Free and Open Source Software can help us
to build communities, contribute to and improve teaching experiences,
and how we can use FOSS more in the workplace.
We are reaching out for anyone from the community interested in
presenting on these or similar topics.
It could be a full presentation, a small lightning talk or a demo of
your favourite FLOSS software. You could talk about how your group uses
or contributes to Free and Open Source. You could explore how the 4
Freedoms are relevant to education. Or if you have another burning topic
you think will fit with the event, let us know.
If you're interested in getting involved please send your expression of
interest to commit...@freesoftware.org.au. Please include a working
title, short description and an estimate of how long you expect to
present.
