Ah, it seems you are building lighttpd WITH_LIBEV, in which case the build is reproducibly broken in my environment. You should either build WITHOUT_LIBEV (this is the default), or - if you must build with that option - try the attached CONFIGURE_ARGS hack[1]. I am not certain that the latter is a robust solution, so perhaps mm@ can chime in with a more structural fix.
