By default, that's usually just the output of the fortune(6) command rather than a FreeBSD specific tip. However, it's probably from a command run out of ${HOME}/.login (if you're a tcsh(1) user) or ${HOME}/.profile or ${HOME}/.bash_login (if you're a bash(1) user). Other shells probably use one or other of .login or .profile or else their own particular files.
