portupgrade wont work because ver 22 was not installed in the first place.
pkg_deinstall ver 21 wont work because there are dependencies.
portinstall ver 22 wont work because ver 21 is there.
how do i get out of this catch-22 ?
pkg_delete -f <old pkg> pkgdb -F # just to be sure portinstall <new pkg>
(Crude, but effective.)
Slightly less crude would be something like portupgrade -o <new pkg> -f <old pkg>
