Could you try to comment out the if ((amd_feature & AMDID_PAGE1GB) != 0) ndm1g = ptoa(Maxmem) >> PDPSHIFT; lines in create_pagetables() function from sys/amd64/amd64/pmap.c and see whether resulting kernel boots on -cpu host configuration ?
