I fixed the problem.It turns out I was using the wrong utility.I was using
FORMAT from MS-DOS 5.0.When I used the version of FORMAT that came with
FreeDOS,it formatted the SSD,and allowed me to install the OS.Sorry for the
little issue,but at least it isn't a filesystem issue.
