Greetings All,

I am new to FreeSBIE and also new to FreeBSD but have been using Linux for some years now and have lately become very interested in what seems to be much greater advantages of using FreeBSD over the popular Linux versions like Fedora 5, Gentoo, and Mandriva.

Because of this and also since we are looking at building a distro to our own likings, it appears tha FreeBSD may offer more power, be more stable, and faster than other open source operating systems from the basic reading on the Internet that I have done.

Regarding the FreeSBIE LiveCD, I downloaded the latest 2.0 Alpha version and booted it up and right away noticed some nice speed advantages over Linux, but did also find that even though it detected a network card and got a masquerade IP from my dhcp server, it would not connect to the net for some reason and I could not find out where to make any changes.

Could anyone please help to advise me on this?
