I was never able to unlock these phones using some sort of sniffing/back door stuff. I was, however, lucky enough to have the previous owner discover the password. If it helps anybody, the now-defunct Webnet Global Communications (where the phones came from at a bankruptcy auction) used the username Admin and password 'webnet'.
