I'm interested in what the upper limit would be, when expecting a performance improvement with sofia profiles.

For example let's say I were to direct connect to customers ( layer 2 ) with a .1q trunk coming in to fs and a Sofia profile for each customer. Am I going to hit a bottleneck at 20,50,100,500 ???

Guess it's hardware limited , but any thoughts ?

Here is my standard asvice on people worrying about performance before even trying fs.

Rule of thumb, if you have ever used asterisk, multiply everything by 10 so if there is a performance concern assume it will not arise unless you get at least 10 asterisks worth of performance first.

People do thosands of channels with media and tens of thousands with no media, try it first before freting about imaginary load concerns.
