Subject: Surplus Sale

***PLEASE DISTRIBUTE WITHIN YOUR AREA AS NECESSARY***

The University will be conducting a public auction of surplus property.
The sale will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008. Before the public
auction, University departments will have the opportunity to view the items
for possible reallocation of approved items to their department.

*The preview date is scheduled for Wednesday, September 12, 2008, from
1:30pm – 3:30pm.* Surplus items are located in Building No. 4 at the
Dulaney Baldwin property located on Highway 63 South and LaHarpe Street.

*Please be advised that departments will not be allowed to request
reallocation of any electronic equipment (computers, printers, etc.) and
wood furniture.* These items have already been reviewed by IT Services and
Campus Planning Offices and will not be reallocated for campus use. If
there are any other items you believe should be pulled from the sale and
reallocated to your department, please tape a letter size sheet of paper to
the item with the following information:

             Individual Name, Department/Division

             Campus Phone Number

             Purpose to Reallocate Item

*Departments must submit their request for reallocated items to the
Business Office, Cashiers, no later than 9:00am, Friday, March 19th,
listing the item(s) to be reallocated to your department and the purpose*.
This request should be e-mailed ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) or faxed to Cashiers
at X7420. Upon review by the appropriate offices of your request, you will
be notified of the item(s) that will be reallocated and an anticipated
delivery schedule.

We are also asking for your help to be sure items of historical value will
not be included in the surplus sale. If you believe items are of historical
value and should be retained by the University, but not in your department,
please tape a letter size sheet of paper to the item(s) noting possible
historical value.
