Schröder has declared himself a "car man" (literal quote!) -- aka hostage
of the strong German car industry --, and won't allow the Greens' proposal
to increase fuel price.  Green vote(r)s were welcome and necessary for
Schröder to achieve a red-green majority, but when it comes to implementing
green proposals, the green component of "red-green" suddenly fades away...
