Correction: it doesn't happen with the pager, but it's not just the
menus - it also happens on a move or resize of normal windows. A
click-and-hold will set it off even before movement, but it also
continues during movement. I don't notice it when moving windows with my
keybindings, but those don't really 'grab'. Resizing with my keybindings
acts like resizing or moving with the mouse.

As I say, no hold (in the mouse sense) is needed for it to do this with
menu - that just starts revving the cpu as soon as its popped up and
stays that way as long as it's left up.
