Or - if you're somewhat technically inclined - you can swap the bigger 
drive into your Pismo after you have installed Panther onto it. Then (if 
it's easy to pull the bigger drive from the case) move the 10 GB into 
either your external case or another (if you have to trash the case from 
the bigger drive to get it out.

Even if you stay with the external drive in the case as is, there are 
some nice cases out there which are easy to put your 10 GB drive into 
(OWC, MacResQ and others).
